Detroit Dog Rescue Fundraiser
Detroit Dog Rescue Fundraiser
In Detroit, entire neighborhoods have been abandoned. People aren’t the only casualties of this crisis. It is estimated that over 50,000 dogs, left behind by their families, roam the streets of the city. Animal Control euthanizes 80% of the dogs they catch. One organization has stepped up to help: Detroit Dog Rescue. DDR is trying to build the first no-kill shelter in the city, and we’re trying to help. You can too.

Starting next week, I’ll be posting photos of authors with their dog (different photos, different days) on this website. For every “like” the photo receives here and on the author’s Facebook page, the author will donate $1 to DDR.
Participating in the Photos:

Alafair Burke & Duffer, her French Bulldog.
E.J. Copperman & Copper, his Beagle/Basset mix
Rea Frey & Neruda, her Pom/Chihuahua mix.

Gregg Hurwitz & Simba, his Rhodesian Ridgeback.
Dana Kaye & Mrs. Dalloway, her Shih Poo.
Lynn Sheene & Boris her Basset/Jack Russell mix.
